TECHNOLOGY The prevailing use of chrome bar, in growing for many years, is widespread on the market in the hydraulic and , pneumatic sector relating to the production of agricultural machines, industrial, robotics, etc. Currently, chrome bars are produced using a method bearing a high risk for the environment. CROMEG designed to resolve environmental problems related to the production of chrome bars, minimize production costs, and produce a product with high quality technical features. Improved environmental performance is guaranteed through the total elimination of toxic waste disposal and by using several titanium airtight cells. In terms of economic performance, the Project is expected to produce a higher quality product (corrosion resistance increased by a factor 12), qualitative stability, lower production costs (up to 30% energy savings), process automation and an increased production capacity by a factor 6 compared to competing technologies. Briefly: high quality, zero environmental risk, low energy consumption. Comparison between traditional and new technology A production cost reduction of 30% thanks to the plant automation; Global consumption of electricity - kWh - reduced overall by 90% A higher resistance to corrosion by a “12” factor An increased productivity by a “6” factor; A better chrome thickness quality, and total control of chrome thickness morphology; Absence of steel fragility imputable to the hydrogen entrapment; Process operating characteristics: Reduced environmental risk to zero, leading to virtually zero-risk situation; Optimal process control and energy saving Possibility to operate at very high density voltage - therefore high productivity Exceptional faradic output and controlled limitation of the parasitic reaction from hydrogen in          full environmental safety, with elimination of discharges and disposal process residues. The          operativeness of the baths is controlled, with absence of anodic and ferrous muds and metallic          impurities released in the bath by the cathode matrixes (etching).
